The table below shows information about department stores and online stores in Australia in 2011.
The table presents data about Australian department stores and online businesses regarding the number of stores, revenue, profit, and their growth in 2011. Overall, it is clear that consumers preferred to shop online rather than going out to buy products.
According to the table, there were 67 department stores in Australia compared to online shops, which far exceed the real one, at 368 stores available on the internet. Because of this, the profit and sales revenue of online stores were much higher than department shops, with a significant 56 AUD dollars in profit and 700 AUD dollars in the revenue stream in 2011.
As is seen from the given information, all three criteria for calculating the general growth of each type of store proved that people living in Australia enjoyed shopping online more than having to head out to buy things from real shops. The online stores had an increase at 0,6% while department ones were registered lower than 0,2%, at 0,4% in the financial analysis.
