The chart below gives information about how families in one country spent their weekly income in 1968 and in 2018
The given diagram provides a comparison of the average weekly income allocated for disbursement by households in 1968 and 2018.
From an overall perspective, it is highlighted that the spending categories experienced both tendencies: one upward trend and the other downward trend. While most using goods experienced these trends, the household product has the same pattern after 50 years.
Taking a first look at the groups have a positive trend, 2018 the income using leisure items per week increased roughly more than 2 times when compared with the beginning and hosted the highest rank at the end of the period. Subsequently, weekly salary for housing products made a twofold jump over a 50-year period, which accounted from 10 percent in 1968 to 20 percent in 2018. Following that, the share of average wage per week used for transport grow by 7 percent as the former.
Moving to the groups experiencing a downward trend, the proportion of weekly income for food came as the first level at the beginning and down to the third rank at the end of a period, which decrease from 35 percent to 17 percent over the years shown. Finally, the latter percentage of fuel, power and personal good plummet as nearly two times as the former and the share of two categories came as the least preferred items in the statistic.
