Perceptibly, the figure of passengers in Lisbon railway system is the highest compared to others while the reverse is true for Madrid’s which is one of the youngest.
In terms of the oldest railway system, Paris has the oldest in 1863, followed by Stockholm in 1900 and Lisbon in 1927. Meanwhile, there is a reverse pattern in the volume of passengers in these cities with 1927 people in Lisbon, 1191 people in Stockholm and only 775 at Paris.
When it comes to the other railway systems, Berlin has the youngest one established in 2001 with 50 commuters traveling per year which is higher than 5 people in Madrid. Rome railway system was built sooner in 1976; therefore, the number of passengers is more gargantuan with 144.
