The bar chart compares the amount of money spent on five different categories in the UK and France in the year 2010.
It is clear that people in both countries spent the highest amount of money on cars in 2010. However, the least amount of money went on perfume in the UK and cameras in France.
In terms of cars, consumer expenditure was noticeably higher in the UK at around 450000 pounds and in France at 400000 pounds. People in the UK also spent more money on books compared to people in France, at around 400000 pounds and 300000 pounds, respectively. The amount of money spent on cameras was 350000 pounds in the UK, which was almost double the amount of money spent by French people.
On the other hand, French people spent more money on the rest of the items. Consumer expenditure on computers was almost 370000 pounds in France, while this figure was 350000 pounds in the UK. The amount of money spent on perfume was 200000 pounds in France and 140000 pounds in the UK.
