The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.
The chart compares how many minutes(in billions) of telephone calls the British consume between 1995 and 2002.
In 1995, local fixed line registered 72 billion minutes and it increasd dramatically till it reached its peak in 1999 (90 billion minutes). Starting from 1999 till 2002, local fixed line went gradually down, until it came up to the same number of minutes it achieved in 1995(72 billion minutes).
Compared to the local fixed line, nationl and international fixed line opend with 35 billion minutes in 1995, less than the previous local line. And, it went on significantly to register 60 billion minutes in 2002,to be the second commonly used call type in Britain.
In 2002, mobiles rose to its highest number of minutes (45 billion minutes) much more than the numeber of minutes in 2001 and the previous years, whereas it decreased dramatically to 5 billion minutes in 1995.
Overal, the local fixed line is the highest used call type amongst the British followed by the national and international fixed line ,while mobiles usage was the least favourit call type.
