The maps below show the organization of a bookstore in 2000 and now.
The given maps show the developments which have taken place in one certain building from 2000 until now.
From an overall perspective, it is evident that there have been changes in the arrangement of fiction and non-fiction areas as well as the area in the middle of the store.
Specifically, according to the provided diagrams, the entrance is still there, and the position of the traveling area and new-book area which are opposite to the entrance stay unchanged. Moreover, the place for service in the southwest corner of the bookstore remains intact.
However, there are some noticeable changes in other areas. It can be seen that the area for non-fiction in the south has been removed and replaced with the cafe. The fiction area in the northeast corner disappears to make room for that area of non-fiction. Furthermore, another area for fiction to the north of the cafe has been narrowed in size and has turned into the combined position for art, hobbies, cookery, and fiction. The original area for those in 2000 has been changed into the equivalent areas for tables.
