Overall, it can be seen that the highest recycling rate was of paper and cardboard whereas the lowest was of plastics from the year 1982 to 2010.In the year 1982, 65% of paper and cardboard were recycled which reached to 70% in 1996 then reduced by 5% in 1990 which increased and reached the peak value of 80% in 1994. After that, slowly it decreased by 2%, 3%,4% and 5% in the year 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 respectively. Similarly, 50% of glass containers were recycled in 1982, declined by 5% and 10% in 1986 and 1990 respectively. Then, it gradually increased and reached to 60% in the year 2010. In 1986, only 5% aluminium cans were recycled but it sharply rose to 45% in the year 2010 which followed increasing trend At last, less percentage that is 2% plastics started to be recycled in 1990 which reached to 5% in 1994 and remained steady in the year 1998 and 2002 then slowly it was increased and reached to 10% in 2010.
