Given is the bar graph contrasting the amount of weekly income spent by families in a country over a period of 50 years, since 1968.
Perceptibly, food had accounted for by far the largest amount of money spent in 1968 while this was true for leisure activities 50 years later.
In terms of the categories spent most, the amount of money spent on food,personal goods and clothes in 1968 were doubled their figures in 1968 with 35, 8 and 10 percent respectively while the opposite was true for the housing and transport purposes with 18 and
14 percent in sequence.
Regarding the remaining categories, one notable change was the leap in the amount of money spent for leisure activities which was nearly threefold with 7 percent at first to 22 percent. Likewise, the money spent for fuel and power moderated slightly by 2 percent while this figure for household goods stayed unchanged.
