It is apparent that, there was an upward trend in all areas, except that America was slightly decreased. Additionally, Europe was the highest number which reached 400.2 million among these above-mentioned categories.
Looking at the details, the number of passengers in Africa stood at 18.2 million in 1995, and rose to reach the highest point of 28.7 million in 2005. Also the figure of the Middle West was the lowest category in all, which increased significantly from 9.8 million to 15.8 million, which doubled in 2005.
On the other hand, Europe reached at peak at 400.2 million in 2005 which started at 280.2 million in 1995. Otherwise in America, the figure significantly increased from 68.5 million to 118.2 million in 2005. But in 2005, the number of travelers fluctuated, dropped by 5 million people. Likewise, the figure for Asian and Pacific countries doubled (from 60.2 to 135.8). All in all, global number of international visitors increased from almost 450 million to nearly 700 million after 15 years.
