The two given maps illustrate how the gallery has changed from its opening in 2005 to the present.
Overall, most of the changes are witnessed in the left half of the ground floor, while the remaining half stays unchanged.
The first improvement was a ramp on the entrance to accommodate wheelchair users, along with steps instead of steps only in 2005. Another change can be seen in the entrance hall, where a rectangular desk was replaced by an oval one. Besides, the right-hand side of the gallery has not undergone any changes thus far. Furthermore, the stairs to the upper floors have been changed into smaller ones and a lift has been installed.
In more detail, the café and shop have been transformed into a gallery shop. The previous gallery office was turned into three vending machines. In addition, the largest exhibition room in 2005 was separated into an interactive area for children in the lower left corner of the room and the other part for temporary exhibitions.
