Task 4: The diagrams below show the floor plans for a trade conference in 2009 and for the same trade conference in 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagrams illustrate some changes to the layout of a trade conference from 2009 to 2010.
Overall, this trade conference experienced considerable alters during the period shown. The most noticeable difference between the two maps is more seats and more display stands in 2010 than in 2009.
As can be seen from the maps, in 2009, the conference hall and the stage were placed on the left of the diagram while there are three meeting rooms located under the conference hall on the same side. The plan for 2010 shows that the conference hall and the stage were moved to the right, next to the balcony and three meeting rooms were knocked down. In 2010, the exhibition area was expanded and constructed on the original site of the old conference hall and stage with one door connected to the balcony and lounge.
Turning to other facilities, in 2009, the refreshments were located between the main entrance and the side entrance on the same side while a registration desk stood beside the balcony. In 2010, the registration desk and the refreshments were changed places with each other whereas a lounge was provided on the balcony. The main entrance and the side entrance remained unchanged.
