The bar chart shows the number of visitors to three London Museums between 2000 and 2005.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart compares the number of visitors to three museums in three different countries over a half-decade starting from 2000.
A glance at the charts reveals that the Edo museum in Tokyo was the most popular of three museums at the beginning of the period. However, it has decreased significantly and stood at the lowest position in 2005 while the National museum of China gained the most visitors at that time.
In 2000, 12 million visitors went to the MET museum in New York. In this year, Tokyo’s Edo Museum received the highest number of visitors, which was over 13 million, twice as many as that of the National Museum in China. After a year, the number of visitors to the Edo Museum stayed unchanged at more than 13 million, while the figure for the MET Museum decreased significantly by half compared to last year. The number of visitors to the National Museum of China this year rose slightly, by nearly 2 million. The Edo Museum got about 10 million visitors, which was slightly more than that of the National Museum in China in the following year. In 2003, the number of visitors to the Edo Museum reached its lowest level, more than 6 million. From this year to the end of this period, the Edo Museum has had the lowest number of visitors of the three museums, while the numbers of national museums in China and at the MET have witnessed steady growth. By the end of the period, on top of the list was the National Museum in China, with nearly 16 million visitors. Ranked in second place was the MET museum in New York with slightly 14 million visitors, while the Edo took the last rank with exactly 10 million visitors.
