The graphs indicate the source of complaints about the bank of America and the amount of time it takes to have the complaints resolved
The pie chart demonstrates the bank's 7 different sources of complaints, whilst the bar chart illustrates the needed time for solving them over a 5-year period, from 2000 to 2004.
At first glance, the majority of complaints are from the public. In addition, the bank took more time to solve the complaints in 2001 compared to other periods shown.
Looking at the pie chart more closely, one can see that Bank of America received 63% of complaints from the public. Meanwhile, the figure for government agencies and out of state accounted for 11% and 10% respectively, followed by insurance companies, which took 8%. The complaints from the remaining sources represented around 2% to 3% for each
Turning to the amount of time that the bank needed to resolve, it took almost 5 months for the bank to have solutions in 2000, after which this figure increased significantly to 6 months in 2001. After reaching its highest point, the taken time declined to about 5 months and then stayed unchanged over the next 3 years.
