The charts below give information about levels of education in Glasgow, a city in Scottland, in 2010.
The given bar charts and pie charts are illustrating the overview of literacy of Glasgow city in 2010. Overall, the younger generations are pusuing higher studies more than the older generation with little differences between gender.
People between 16-24 and 35-50 age groups had the same level of education, comprising of 71% holding university degree, 20% school certificate and 9% of no qualification. Compared to them, 76% people of 24-35 years age group earned university degree which is the highest among the all age groups, while 15% hold the school certificate only and 9% with no qualification. Pupils of over 50 years are way more behind than the younger ones. 50% pupil of the age group 50-75 were university graduate, and for the group over 75 years it is only 25%. People with school certificate up to 75 years of age shared similar percentage accounting 20% like the previous age groups, while only 3% of the age group over 75 years hold the school certificate leaving the rest 72% with no qualification.
Cmparing male and femal, bothe genders had the similar share of school certifciate accounting 33% of each. 32% of men hold the university degree which is slightly higher than women sharing 29%. Thus, 38% women were without any qualification higher than 35% male with similar situation.
