Overall, the percentage of persons aged 65 and up is expected to climb in all five countries. Moreover, Wales had the highest population of elderly people in 1985, While North Ireland had the lowest population in the United Kingdom.
Look at the bar chart, the percentage of aging population in five countries is stable and don’t have more different. In 1985, the Wales is highest among four countries ( 16%) and higher second is England ( 15%), in the UK has the same data. Meanwhile, Northern Ireland is lowest ( 12%) and Scotland ( 11%)
Look at the bar chart for the next 50 years is 2035. The percentage for old people in five countries have significantly increase. In Wales and Scotland is highest ( 26% and 25%). However, the Northern Ireland and UK and the England have the same percentage about 23%. So, it can be seen that the aging population will be more higher in the next 50 years. That is can make some problems and housing in the future.
