The given bar chart depicts the results of an investigation of people’s coffee and tea purchasing and drinking habits over last 4 weeks in five different Australian cities.
Overall, most of Australian in five cities went to coffee or tea shop to drink directly in last 4 weeks, while fresh coffee was less chosen by individuals compared to instant coffee which was more prevalent to the citizen in city dwellers in Australia.
Regarding the percentage of city residents serving coffee or tea directly at shop in last 4 weeks, Melbourne and Hobart shared the same percentage of city residents going to a café for coffee or tea, at 64%, which was the highest among other demographics, followed by Sydney with 61% of citizens drinking coffee or tea directly at the coffee or tea shop. For Brisbane and Adelaide, going to café for coffee or tea was less popular in those two cities with respective figures being 55% and 49%.
Turning to the remaining habit of purchasing and drinking coffee or tea, buying instant coffee was the prevalent trend for Australian city dwellers in five urban areas over last 4 weeks with 54% for Hobart, 53% for Brisbane and 50% for Adelaide, both Sydney and Melbourne were recorded under 50%. In terms of the habit of Australian city residents purchasing and drinking fresh coffee in 4 previous weeks in five cities, it was recorded lower figures with 44% for Sydney and 41% for Melbourne, the remaining cities was all recorded under 45%.
