Strengths and difficulties in learning English
In our modernized society, we have witnessed a lot of shifts in the daily life especially in term of adapting to the new languages. As I know, English is one of the most popular languages in the world so learning English is also of interest to everyone. In this essay, I will make clear about my strengths and difficulties in studying English.
On one hand, I have many several strengths in learning. Firstly, I am interested in learning English, I love the feeling when I spend my free time on studying vocabulary, exploring the grammar and practicing English everyday, It not only helps me feel unwind after hard-working day but also motivate me to detect numerous foreign languages, Secondly, I am so pleased because of having a good memory that I can remember easily. For example, instead of spending a hour to learn, I only need 10-15 minutes to remember all the new words of a previously learned topic. Finally, modern equipment is also a strength in learning English. I can search he Internet to find new things like music, videos and images about English to study effectively. Moreover, I am able to take part in many English courses with native teachers who can give detailed feedback on my pronunciation . These strengths will be useful for me to study English well in the near future.
On the other hand, studying English also brings me some difficulties. The first difficulty is that I often feel uncomfortable when I speak and practice English because of being worried about pronunciation, grammar, fluency,… Moreover, I always feel like I am not as good as everyone around me, which is the main reason why I am approximately afraid of making mistakes in pronunciation or grammar. Another difficulty is slow reflex. Sometimes, I understand everything I hear, I read in English but I do not know the way to reply smoothly. Despite these difficulties, I am still a big fan of studying English.
It can be concluded that learning English has both strengths and difficulties. In my point of view, the positive sides outweigh the negative ones. I will take the advantage of these strengths to learn English effectively and make my life more and more meaningful when I study this language.
