The line graph illustrate the global water use by three different sectors between 1900 2000. The table shows the water consumption in Brazil and Congo during 2000.
According to the line graph, mostly water used in Agriculture sector. In 1900, approximate 500km3 global water was used in agriculture. It increased continuously and reached at 1800 km3 during 1970. After that it rose swiftly to over 3000 in 2000.
The water used in industrial and domestic sector was only 50 km3 in 1900. Use of water in Domestic purposes remained same during 1960 and use of water in industrial sector increased to over 1000 km3 in 2000. In 2000 domestic use of water was 500 km3 which was half than industrial.
The table represents that in Brazil in 200 359 m3 water was consumed by per person and 26500 km3 by land irrigation. The total population of Brazil was 176 million in 2000. Congo with population of 5.2 million consumed 100 km2 water in land irrigation and water consumed by per person was 8 m3.
To sum up, Use of worldwide water was increased in all sectors and Brazil Consumed more water than Congo in 2000.
