The diagrams below show persons arrested in past five years and reasons for most recent arrest.
Write a report for a university teacher describing the information shown.
The diagrams compare and contrast data on the differences in the proportion of individuals arrested between men and women in a five-year period and reasons for current arrest divided by seven broad categories in 1994.
A closer look at the diagrams shows that there were unequally distributed factors resulting the capture between male and female in terms of criminality.
More specifically, there were more arrested men between 1989 and 1993 by nearly third proportion than the others (68%) who were indicated as innocent. At the same period guilty women were only nearly a tenth from all cases. In 1994, the biggest reason of both genders being captured was public drinking which revealed 37% of women and 31% men doing this. Another striking point in drinking case was that there was a significant difference in men, averaged 26%, who were closely double for women (14%). A minor percentage was seen in the serious crimes such as theft, assault, and breach that figured for approximately 3 until 6% gap between male and female criminals.
