The line graph illustrates changes in the amount of beef, lamb,chicken and fish consumed in a particular European countries between 1979 and 2004, a period of 25 years.
Overall, it can be seen that consumption of chicken increased dramatically while the popularity of beef,lamb and fish declined over the period.
The consumption of the chicken in European countries increased significantly from just under 5 grams per person to around 250 grams between 1979 and 2004, a rise of 100 grams in 25 years. By contrast, consumption of beef and lamb declined dramatically. The figure for beef dropped from just over 200 grams in 1979 to around 100 grams in 2004. The consumption of lamb decreased from 150 grams to just over the 50 grams between 1979 and 2004.
On the other hand,the popularity of fish fell slightly from 52 grams to around 40 grams between 1979 and 2004, over the 25 year period.
