Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Reading fiction (such as novels and short stories) is more enjoyable than watching movies. Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.
I disagree that perusing fiction is more pleasurable than watching movies. My view is based on advantages of watching movies and disadvantages of reading fiction.
I think watching a movie is more suitable for a person who wants get an information or new knowledge. It has myriad advantages because a movie has two senses that can support the watchers to understand contain easier. According to my experience, a movie has a colorful moving visual which is interesting for me to watch it because I prefer to learn from colorful object than a monotonous object. A movie also has audio which is made me still got an information and point, even though I divide my eyes to another object while watching it. For example, sometimes I watch some movies while doing other activities such as studying, cooking, and eating. However, I can still got the information about the play, and I believe most of people prefer to watching movies because those reasons.
Moreover, I think reading fiction has some disadvantages if I compare with watching a movie. Reading fiction need our full concentration to get the point because reading fiction does not have a colorful visual feature, it is only a bundle of white and black paper with hundred words in each page for a novel. Beside of it, even though short story is different, it stills not colorful. Reading also does not have an audio feature, so I cannot do the other activities while reading a novel. According to my experience, reading a novel only made me bored regarding its disadvantages.
However, some of my family members prefer to read a fiction than watching a movie. They think reading a fiction is better than watching a movie because reading can practice their concentration ability. For example, my father, since he was child, reading is his hobby. He spend 80% of his leisure time only for reading many types of book include novel. Because of his good behavior from it, I think he has the best concentration in my family.
To sum up, Even though some of my family members prefer to peruse a fiction, I believe watching movies are more suitable for me.
