People have been debating about how the government should allocate the money to make the better society. Although people have different opinions, I believe that spending money on museums and public art is very important because it benefits the citizens.

To begin with, museums and public art is one of the places where many people can receive education. Especially, it is the best place for children to learn art and history. For example, when I was in elementary school, I remember I visited museums a few times a year with my classmates and my teacher as our field trip. There were both an art museum and a history museum in my city. Visiting museums was a fantastic experience because I could see old historical things from the past that I learned in textbook. Moreover, observing great paintings gave me inspiration and idea of how to draw a painting. If the government in my city did not spend money on the museum, neither could I have had wonderful experience nor broadened my knowledge about history and art.

In addition to the previous point, people can relax and reduce stress they receive from their daily life by visiting museums and watching public art. For example, when we visit a museum, we can relax and forget about our busy life. Watching art help you rewind your mind like exercise does. For example, when I am very stressed out, I sometimes visit an art museum. I feel like time is still there and I can escape from a real world.

In conclusion, I feel that it is necessary for the government to invest money on public art and museums. Not only do they help educate people but also help relax and reduce stress.
