Pets should be treated like family members

Animals are also like a human being. The only difference between a human being and an animal is that the former can speak and the latter cannot. Both are the creation of God and both need love and affection. So, I agree to the statement that pets should be treated like family members. Below are a few reasons in support of my view:

Pets should be treated equally like other family members. They should be provided basic necessity of life like a human being gets like proper food to live, medication when ill and shelter (home). Pets are like children in the family, they also learn at every stage for example an infant when born either human being or an animal both cannot do anything and are totally dependent on others and when they become adolescent they can understand everything and are less dependent. Pets learn in whatever way you train him or her. So, they should be treated equally like other members in the family.

Pet needs love and affection. They should not be beaten or hurt by his or her master. For example, we have a dog and our family loves him so much and we care for him a lot. We treat him like our child. They also want love and affection from their masters like a child wants love from their parents. They should not be kept in a cage.

Lastly, pets can become a good friend if they are treated well in the family. They are loyal to their masters like a good friend is helpful and loyal to his or her friend in the same way pets can also be very helpful and loyal. For example I have seen people who are blind use guide dog for their help. These dogs have good sense of abilities and are very helpful to the blind people.

In conclusion, I would say pets should be treated like family members and they should be given proper food, clothing and shelter. It is our duty as a citizen that they should be treated well at homes; if not strict laws should be followed against their masters.
