reading and listening questions
In the lecture, the professor made several points about dinosaurs. The professor argues that the dinosaurs were not endotherms. However, the reading contends that dinosaurs were endotherms. The professor's lecture casts doubt on the reading by using a number of points that are contrary to dinosaurs were endotherms.
The first point that the professor uses to cast doubt on the reading is that although the dinosaur’s fossils have been discovered in Polar Regions but this not show that dinosaurs were endotherms According to the professor, the Polar Regions were warmer than today, so they could not live and in cold temperature they could migrate or hibernate. This point differs from the reading that reading states dinosaurs were endotherms because they can maintain a temperature well above that of the surrounding environment could be active in such cold climate.
Another point that the professor uses to cast doubt on the reading is legs of dinosaurs. The professor claim that the legs are positioned underneath its body for support more weight and the large size. However, the reading states the legs are positioned underneath its body for allows sustained physical activity such running. This point is contradicted by the legs are positioned underneath its body for support more weight and the large size.
In conclusion, the points made in the lecture contrast with reading. Legs of dinosaurs and polar region's fossil demonstrate that dinosaurs were endotherms, is in doubt.
