The reading describes that collection of the fossils related to the ancient organisms like dinosaurs by the private collectors causes negative influences on both people and scientists and brings three reasons for it. However, professor contradicts that idea by refusing those reasons in the lecture.
First, based on the reading, public suffers from limiting to visit the fossils by the private collectors. While, according to the lecture, this issue exaggerated and, on contrary, the fossils collections are more available by the collector. It explains that the fossils are sold by the collectors so that the institutions like schools and libraries can buy them for showing to the public.
