The chart illustrates the mean percentage of ingredients in consumers food in the USA, consisting of sodium, saturated fats and added sugars. These three unhealthy nutrients are normally found in meals and cause a variety of problems in humans health.

Overall, the highest percentage of nutrients is found in dinner whereas the lowest percentage is consumed during breakfast. Most importantly, sodium and saturated fat are mostly consumed during dinner while American citizens prefer to eat added sugars during snacks. Comparing these three of the nutrients together, breakfast contains the least amount of these three nutrients.

In terms of sodium, snacks and breakfast have the same amount of sodium while dinner contains almost half of the percentage of sodium. Saturated fat has a similar chart to sodium where breakfast has less than a quarter of saturated fat. Compared to sodium, dinner has a lower percentage of saturated fat than sodium but still is the highest in terms of consumerism in saturated fat.

Added sugar is an interesting case where it has 42 percents of it in snacks. This is almost close to half of the percentage. Following the same trend as sodium and saturated fat, the least amount of added sugar is found in breakfast.
