Some people think that governments should spend money for faster public transportation, others think that there are other important priorities (eg cost, environment). Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Corresponding to the rapid rate of urban development, public vehicle speed is also taken into consideration to align with minimizing the time wastage of transportation. Some contend that the country’s government should take a vital role in this speed improvement. However, in my opinion, some other traffic aspects are further crucial, including road systems and traffic congestion, in terms of holistically developing the country as the whole. In this essay, I will delve into both sides and give my point of view.
To begin with, there is a fact that many researchers and investors are eager to find out the most suitable methods of transportation which can meet the high need of mobility among citizens. It encompasses underground or sky subways which are not unfamiliar to some certain developed countries, particularly Vietnam where sky subways are currently finding their prominent position in Vietnamese traffic maps. This trend has fostered the speed improvement in terms of not only individuals’ mobility but also the country’s growth, given by diminishing time wastage of travel.
On the other hand, while specific subways could give a positive hand to the developmental process of the traffic issue, the reason driving its benefits is more noticeable. Subway systems are generally constructed with their specialized roads which are inaccessible to other kinds of transportation, allowing them to move quickly and smoothly. In the overall view of the urban infrastructure, the subway systems accompanied with their limited number of commuters are also a significant attribution in the traffic congestion of other kinds of transportation, driven by more spaces required but less holistic effect on traffic.
In conclusion, while speeding up urban transportation serves as a method to address current traffic problem of time wastage, it is highly necessary that other aspects also play a vital role to tackle holistically, such as street systems and the overall city infrastructure landscape.
