Essay topics:

The best way to solve the world’s environmental problems is to increase the cost of fuel.
Do you agree or disagree with this view?

With the accelerating progress of industrialization and globalization, more problems are coming to light, especially environmental issues. Some argue that the most effective way to solve these problems is to make people pay more for fuel. However, I disagree and believe there is a more cost-effective approach to protect the environment, which is raising awareness through educational activities.

On the one hand, increasing the cost of fuel may seem to directly reduce its usage, but it is just a short-term solution. People rely heavily on fuel for their vehicles and are often willing to pay a premium for it. As a result, we cannot significantly lower fuel consumption, and instead, we create difficulties for low-income workers. Therefore, not only do we create a new problem - the high cost of fuel - but we also fail to address the root cause of our environmental issues.

I believe that enhancing our awareness about our planet is both an easy and affordable long-term solution for environmental problems. People are suffering the consequences of Earth's contamination and want to make a difference. For example, it is not difficult for us to use public transportation because of its convenience and affordability. Moreover, people should take part in "reduce-reuse-recycle" projects with activities such as controlling household waste disposal and categorizing trash. The success of these activities depends on our awareness.

In conclusion, increasing the cost of fuel is not the best solution for the environment. Instead, we should work together to educate people and raise awareness through various activities and projects. These could include promoting carpooling, encouraging recycling, and organizing community clean-ups. By focusing on education and changing behaviors, we can make a lasting impact on our environment without placing an undue financial burden on individuals.
