Essay topics:

Some people store personal and private information online, including banking, contacts and addresses. Is it a positive or negative trend?

More and more people are approval of the advent of online storage, as a result, they tend to take advantage of this feature to achieve their personal information such as bank account, contacts, and addresses. From a personal point of view, this trend brings more benefits than drawbacks for a host of reasons.
The first advantage of storing private information online is about safety. Every source of information, especially private ones, mostly needs a passcode to register. This code only allows the owners of the information or authorized people to use the source. Furthermore, in the worst situation that the source is stolen, the owners still can reset it by providing their possession. For example, 2 months ago, my uncle forgot the password of his bank account, but then he showed his phone and passport number which he used for registration, ultimately, he could successfully retrieve his account.
Secondly, another benefit of online storage is that the perfect maintenance of private information. It is different from paper-based documents, which can be damaged anytime by fire or water, the storing process only needs virtual memory from online platforms, which might reserve the data for thousands of years. For example, in Japan, tsunami appears rampantly and unpredictably, therefore, when this disaster comes, the top priority is to save lives, not paper documents. As a result, storing personal data online is the most feasible choice.
In conclusion, online storages have their own advantages which persuade an increasing number of people to use them. Personally, I suppose that this is a positive development because of the aforementioned explanations.
