The bar chart shows the relative electricity consumption and cost per year of various household devices.
Write a 150-word report for a university lecturer explaining the data and making comparisons where relevant.
The given graph compares the annual amount of energy consumed by a number of 16 household appliances and the corresponding expenses. Overall, it can be seen that while the highest consumption of energy was attributed to a well-functioning spa, the electric blanket, the microwave oven and the television needed minim mount of the whole harnessed electricity.
Looking at the details, it seems that keeping the spa in a gook working status requires around 2300 kwh each year which is reflected by the highest expenditure among all given devices, of approximately 1190 dollars. The pool pump needs approximately 1500 kwh and this requires sum of money, of just under 1500 dollars. Meanwhile, the freezer, heating the bed and drying the clothes and the washing machine consumed each roughly between 800 and 1100 kwh and people have to pay for this around 70-85 dollars yearly. By contrast, some in-house activities requires far less for their function. Among them, each of using a computer, washing dishes automatically, using the electric cooking machine or the dehumidifier consumes and cost about half the electricity needed and expenses brought by the refrigerator, which makes up just over 85 dollars.
Finally, the television, cooking at the microwave and using an electronic blanket account for the least quantity of power, of around 10, 15 and 17 kwh respectively, and the minimum budget of approximately 15-20 dollars annually.
