TPO-16 - Integrated Writing Task
Both the reading and article discuss the problem and limitation which archeology faced in Britain. According to the reading, the author rovides three vopmeting reason to assert that there would be a problem in archeology back then, namely losting artifact, not be enough the financial support from governmetn, and difficulties in finding job in archeology. On the contrary, the professor reject all the tree point providing by author and asserts that the new rule which was enacted in Britain change the field of archeology and improve all three areas which are mentioned by the article.
Firstly, the reading passage points out that increasing the population in Britatin causes a alot of construction which highly destroye the valuable artifact. The lecturer, however, casts doubt on this clam by saying that the new rule states that before constracting ang building the site should be examine by archologist to know whether the site is valuable in term of archeology or not. Moreover, if the site is the interest of archologist the local goverment and the archologist experts should gather together and make a plan to how preserve that. Furthurmore, they should examine and also study the site.
Secondly, the article claims that because the financial support from government is so low that the archeologist could not carry out any specific project on sites, and also the priorities of government changes. The lecture, in contrast, refutes this idea by arguing that the important part of the rule is the financial support which must be provided by construction company and support the examintation. In addition, the whole new source dedicate to this research, and this financial support allows archlogist to go far greater in terms of invetigating on site than past.
Finally, the author contends that archaeology job is very rare and it is very hard to find a suitable job in university of in government agencies. By contrast, the speaker disagrees with this opinion and averts that this new rule paved the way for a lot job which is not available in the past. Additionally, the archaeologist can work and collaborate in all the satage process including preverve managiny, processing data and publishing a new articles. Therefore, increasing the jobs cause increasing the number of employed archaelogist; moreover, they receive the highest money in comprasion the past.
