The two pie charts show the main sources of energy in the USA in the 1980s and the 1990s.
The given cyclic charts picturise the information about five main sources of energy provided by USA in the 1980s and 1990s. The data is calibrated in percentum.
It can be seen that for the year 1980, oil was covering 42% of the whole pie chart , which makes it most consumed source of energy in the USA. In addition to this, natural gas , coal and hydroelectric power were noticed to be 26% , 22% and 5% respectively. Moreover , nuclear energy had a small fraction from rest of the sources of energy.
As far as trend was concerned , in the late 1990s. Oil was pinpointed at 33% of the total but on the other side natural gas contributed a quarter in the formation of circular chart . Apart from all this, 27% was contributed towards the consumption of coal . Moreover , hydroelectric power and nuclear power had been noticed to be at 5% and 10% respectively.
Overall, it is evident that while collating both of the pie charts there was an uplift in coal and nuclear power. Hydroelectric power remained static for both the years . However, there was a drop for resources of oil and natural gas.
