The pie charts compare the variation in power supplies in America over 10 years, commencing in 1980
From a general perspective, while Oil accounts for the most proportion, hydroelectric power continues to make up the least amount of USA energy sources throughout the period. Another noticeable point is that Americans tend to use traditional instead of modern types of energy in both the timeline.
Regarding conventional fuels, while the percentage of natural gas and oil in 1980 were both lower than the corresponding figures in the following decade, a marginal increase was witnessed in the ratio of coal. To be specific, Oil and natural gas dropped from 42% and 26% in the initial year to one-third and one-quarter in 1990, respectively. Consequently, coal statistics, which constituted 22% of the entire graph in 1980, increased moderately to 27% in the next 10 years.
Turning to the latest energy sources, Although Nuclear and hydroelectric power started at a similar level at 5%, the former increased slightly while the latter remained constant. Specifically, the nuclear power proportion reached 10% in 1990, was twice as common as hydroelectric power percentage
