Essay topics:

Do the dangers derived from the use of chemicals in food production and preservation outweigh the advantages?

Nowadays, most foods contain chemicals to improve production and perserve in a long time, which helps companies sell products more easily but it is the cause of cancer. Personally, using chemicals in food has more disadvantages than benefts.

The first benefit of using chemicals is to encourage many people purchase food. Because chemicals contained in food help products become fresher, so consumers will be attracted to buy it. Small stores and supermarkets can sell many more goods; this means that they will achieve higher turnover. Another benefit is to perserve food longer especially instant food. If not using preservative substances, instant food will damage easily, which causes heavy losses to companies.

However, chemicals detrimentally affect human health. The organs in a body are lessened. If a body contains the large amount of chemicals, which will cause diseases about heart, stomach and particularly cancers. That is a main reason to bring to the death of hundreds of people per year.

To concluded, although using chemicals brings some benefits to companies, it negatively influences to human health. I think that many people should stop using chemicals and produce organic products instead to ensure health of customers.
