The article states that paleontologists believe that there is not enough fossil evidence to detect characteristics of agnostids life, it provides several theories about agnostids lives. On the other hand, the lecture posits that each of theories is weakness and she refutes each of author's reasons.
The reading passage asserts that the agnostids were primative arthropods who swimming dependantly and they hunted smaller marin animals. However, the speaker opposites this point by saying that it is true that arthropodas were free-swimming, but they had large eyes and vision had a key role in this situation. in addition, the agnostids had poor eyed or they were blind and they could not have found their prey. thenc, they could not have been predators.
second, the aurhor believes that the agnostids might have lived on the seefloor becouse of some evidences that arthropods lived in this erea. On the contrary, the speaker claims that most of animals who lived in seefloor sowmming slow and they stay in particular region and they have small geographics, she explain that the agnostids moved fast and go through far distances, which this characteristic can be unutual for animals seefloor dwellers.
Last but not least, in the reading, the author states that the agnostids may have been parasites due to they live on other animals. Nonetheless, the professor states that parasites have a large population and small body, also they kill animals who they are relay on, but the agnostids are large animals in small groups. Then, this animal could not have been parasite.
