As we can see the line graph above describes how UK citizens travel using the automobile, bus, and train between the years of 1970 to 2030, measured in the millions.
In general, we can observe that in 1970 the commuters utilized the car as the highest form of transportation, and relied upon the train the least. In addition to this clear point. We can also witness that in 2030, the car is predicted to remain at the top, however, the bus is expected to be at the bottom.
Beginning with 1970 to 1990 we can see how car usage rose by around 1 million (5 million to 6 million). The bus fell to slightly under 4 million, and finally, the train made an estimated small jump from 2 to 2.5 million. Now, when it comes to 1990 to 2000 about 4 million more people are using the car than the train. For the bus, we can see a minimal decline from 1990 to 2000.
