The pictures reveal how chocolate is made from collecting raw materials up to the final stage, 10 steps all in all.
Initially, cacao trees are planted and when they grow and their fruit becomes ripe and red, they are harvested. These cacao trees are found abundantly in South America, Africa and in Indonesia. The pods are then cracked open and the white cocoa beans inside are collected. These beans are put in a rectangular basin for fermentation purposes. The fermented beans afterwards, are left to dry under the sun. The dried beans are stored in sacks and these are transferred to factories by trucks and trains.
When the factories received the beans, they are put in a roasting chamber and are heated up to 350 degrees Celsius. After the beans are roasted they are put in a large circular crushing machine to separate their outer covering. Lastly, the inner parts of the beans are pressed by a machine with two rollers that until liquid chocolate is produced.
