Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to let you know that I lost my wallet this morning and hence I would not be able to pay the rent I am due for next month.
While commuting back from the gym this morning, I unfortunately lost my wallet in the train. By the time I realized, the train had already left the station and following that I made numerous unsuccessful attempts to retrieve my wallet and all the money it has. Due to this, I find it tough to pay the upcoming due by time and I request you to extend the deadline.
I promise you that I will make the payment by the next weekend, as my parents will be transferring some money by then. Also, the upstairs shower seems to be leaking and the water is entering the cabinets in the kitchen. Kindly send a plumber to fix this issue as soon as possible.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for the delay in payment of rent due. I hope you understand and extend my deadline.
Yours faithfully,
Jonathon
