Dear Manager,
I am writing to request an unpaid leave starting next Monday.
For the last one month, I have been attending a part-time course for Database Management and Analysis at the local university. Now that I am done with the theoretical part of the course, the next half involves attending a field work which is going to take place in another city. My presence is must as my performance will be evaluated based on the presentations I give and the project I submit.
The duration of this trip is 4 weeks and starts next Monday. Keeping this in mind, I finished all the tasks needed for the rest of the month. Also, I assigned some duties to my assistant Katie. Meanwhile, I will be regularly checking my emails for any emergencies, and I will be available on my mobile phone for the same.
I would be grateful if you can allow me this leave. This is very important for me. Thank you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Jonathon Trott
