The given line graph illustrates the quantity of goods that were transported in the UK during 1974 and 2002. Especially, it is focused on the means of transportation that were used. The measurement of units is in million tones.
Overall, it seems that road transportation was the main way to ship products in this time period. In 1971, 70 millions tones of goods were delivered in this way, amount that decreased slightly in 1982 but gradually climed up to 100 millions in 2002.
Shipping lanes and Railway were approximately in the same levels until 1978, whereas, the latter started falling to a mere of 20 million tones the first was climbing to 60 milions. Both transportation forms rose after 1998 and 1994 ,respectively.
According to the graph, pipelines, appeares to be merely increased until 1994 reaching a peak at 20 milion of transported goods, amount that remained stable until 2002.
