Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
1- Ask for some time off to complete a qualification.
2-Suggest what you will do later at work if you have time off.
3-Say how the qualification helps your job or company.
Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to request you two weeks off from work on next month.
I have submitted my application for leave last week to the administration department, but they requested your approval on it. Recently, I have enrolled into a Project Management course at one of reputable centers, and its final exam is scheduled on next month. Therefore, I would request that you allow me this leave to have a good preparation before the exam.
A night shift is available at my current project, and I suggest that I will join it beside the day shift after returning from the vacation. This is will allow me to recover any tasks that would be on hold pending on my leave. In addition, I can organize coordination meetings with my colleagues to boost the work progress.
There were several courses from the same center; however, I chose the Project Management Course for its immense benefits to me and the company. It will enhance my contractual skills which we do need in the contracts while its review during the bidding stage. I can also determine the right terms and conditions in support of our company and organization.
I look forward to getting my application approved.
Yours sincerely,
Ayoub
