The given pie charts illustrate the cause of circumstance for the migration and emigration in the UK over a period of one year, 2007.
Overall, there were many differences from the purpose of immigration and emigration in UK, the most universal reason for both immigrant and emigrant was related to definite job. The distributed proportion of immigration reason was more evenly compared to the cause of emigration.
Firstly, observing the immigration chart, it is clear that the highest proportion was definite job reason, at 30%. Moreover, with a slightly lower percentage, formal study reason took the second place with the rate of 26%. The combined of four remaining factors reached a total of 44%. In detail, 15% people migrated to the UK due to accompany reason; 12% was because of looking for a job. Furthermore, while 6% immigrant did not mention the reason they move to UK, there was 11% other reason caused the immigration.
Secondly, regarding the chart of emigration, the figure for definite job reason was 29%, which also was the highest proportion in the chart. While only 4% people emigrated from the UK to formal study, the number of looking for a work reason accounted five times as much as that figure, at 22%. Additionally, there was approximately similar percentage of citizens chose to emigrate as immigrate, at 13%, while the rest of two main cause for emigration were unstated reason and other were 18% and 14% respectively.
