You are going on a short course to a training college abroad. It is a college that you have not been to before.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer. In your letter,
give details of your course and your arrival/departure date
explain your accommodation needs
ask for information about getting to and fro from the college
Dear sir,
In am writing in context to the availability of accommodation in the vicinity of college 'St.Stephen's' in New York. I have enrolled for a short-term management training program in the same.
My course will commence on the 1st of September 2018 and end on 31st January 2019. Henceforth, I would be arriving much in advance and I am completely unaware of the city's surroundings and lifestyle. Therefore, my flight is scheduled for 16th October 2018 midnight thereby I will reach New York on the 17th of October 2018.
My requirement is of a studio apartment which is in close proximity to my college. Moreover, a semi-furnished one would suffice with basic necessities like heating and it would be bitter cold during Christmas. Subsequently, I plan to vacate the premises in three months time as my departure date is 14th February 2019.
I would also like to inquire as to how I can commute from college to my apartment and vice versa and what would be the cost for the same. I would be really obliged if you could equip me with the aforementioned details so that I can plan accordingly. Thanking you in advance and looking forward for an early reply.
Yours faithfully,
Nick
