The charts show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers.
The given are charts comparing two main factors: career and personal interest, that lead people belonging to various age categories to study. They also illustrate how much supports such as time off and fee rises they got from employers.
According to the first bar chart, in terms of main motivators, people at the age under 26, 26-29 and 30-39 give priority to career over special interests, as the ratios of students choosing those factors are relatively 80% vs. 10%, 70% vs. 15% and 55% vs. 20%. It is easily noticed that, for 40-49 year olds compared indicators are equally important while personal interests are more popular with students over 49 years old when compared to successful career. (70% opposed to almost 20%).
When it comes to the second bar chart it shows that at getting financial and moral help by employers the percentage of the youngest students who are under 26 ranks first (60%), which is followed by students at 26-29, 40-49 and 49 and over, whose percentages for mentioned issue are accordingly 50%, 35% and 42%. Whereas, the smallest proportion that get support, belongs to the group containing 30-39 year olds (30%).
To sum it up, it can clearly be seen that, career opportunities mainly motivate the young to study, while the old are mostly stimulated by their special interests. It can also be noted that, employers tend to back their youngest workers most of all.
