The professor in the lecture rebuts this argument, he says that creating hydrogen in a usable state takes too much energy that would come from burning coal or petroleum. Thus, even if the engines do not contaminate, creating the fuel will, defeating the purpose of the engine.
Finally, The article claims that soon the price of the fuel-cell engine will be economically competitive. The author elaborates on this by explaining that this type of engine is twice as efficient as a traditional one, so the consumer will expend only the half on fuel. The professor challenges this claim.
