A glance at the pie chats provided reveals the proportion of expenses spent in different categories (Housing, Transport, Food, Health care, and Other goods and services) in Japan and Malaysia in 2010.
Overall, Malaysians spent more money on Housing than Japanese in the given period. Also, there were three many major expenditures in both country, which were, Housing, Food and Other goods and services. Moreover, the expenses of Health care and Transport in Malaysia were less than the expenditure in Japan.
As it can be seen that, Housing was the major expenditure in Malaysia which accounted for 34% while in Japan housing was 21%. In term of Food, in Malaysia, it was the second major household expenditure and there was 3% more than in Japan, which had 27% and 24% respectively. Similarly, Other goods and services was the only highest expense and were held 26% in Malaysia while in Japan, there was 29%.
On the other hand, remaining parts of expense were Health care and Transport which comprised of 3% and 10%. However, it was doubled in Japan which were 6% and 20% respectively. Furthermore, the least expenditure for both countries was Health Care.
