Nowadays, animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products. Some people argue that these experiments should be banned because it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer, while others are in favor of them because of their benefits to humanity.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
The using of animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products nowadays. Some people think that these experiments should be prohibited, and some others say that these experiments should be banned. I believe that both views have good reasons to explain.
The demand of high quality medicine is rising every year. People want to protect and cure their illness with the quality medicine. The medicine companies as the drugs producers are actually respond this demand. They spend much money in their research and development division. In terms of producing medicine, they have to test it to the animal. They do it to make sure that the medicine is not going to be harmful to human being. Moreover, they are still looking for a better method to test their medicine. In this occasion, some people say that it is ok to use animal to test the medicine for human’s sake.
On the other side, some people respond that it is a violent or a harassment to animal, as it is used to be an object in experiment. They say that the medicine company should be banned by doing so. The medicine company has to find the other way to test the medicine without using animal in the experiment. Moreover, the company should have developed better method to solve the issue. The company can develop a safer medicine by using combinations of natural plants (herbal).
In conclusion, I believe that involving animal as an object in medicine test should be banned. The medicine company can use a better method to produce a safer medicine.
