The charts illustrate the differences of school spending in United Kingdom in 1981, 1991 and 2001. The chart contains five points as the parameters to distinguish the spending allocations during the survey.
Total school spending in 1981 chart shows that teachers’ salaries used a majority spending of school with 40% of the total. Other workers’ salaries spent 28% of the total school spending, while furniture and equipment, and resources spent both 15% of the spending. Insurance was the least need spent by the school.
In 1991, teachers’ salaries raised to 50% in total school spending. Resources were also raised 5% since ten years before. In contrast, furniture and equipment dropped to 5%, which decreased 15% since ten years before.
In 2001, schools spending chart shows teachers’ salaries shrank 5% from ten years before. On the other hand, insurance, and furniture and equipment were increased five per cent and eighteen per cent.
To sum up, according to the three charts, we can conclude that teachers’ salaries used the most of total school spending, even though the charts show those were fluctuated.
