A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children’s sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.
Write a letter to the company. In your letter
describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
say how you think the company should spend the money
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Kumar Sampad and I am a resident from Danforth area. I am writing this letter to express my concern about the money your company is going to spend for our locality as part of corporate-social-responsibility.
It has been circulated in the local newspapers that your company wants to sponsor either for the local sports team or for funding two open-air concerts. As a concerned resident of this area, it is inevitable that funding for the local sports team will enable children to stay more healthy and active. As the sponsorship will remain valid for two years, it will encourage the residents of this area to send their children for enrollment in different other sports club and this spirit will be transferred to other children too.
Conversely, some people will contend for the sponsorship at the local event, for instance, the upcoming open-air concerts. Therefore, the entertainment cost will be reduced to the general public. In addition, this will help them to get an amusement with greater benefits of mental relaxation.
However, both options are having wide range of benefits for the local residents. But, personally, I believe, spending money for the sports team will be a wise option since its advantages outweigh the advantages of spending for local concerts.
I look forward to seeing your wise action on spending this huge money for a healthy purpose.
Yours faithfully,
Kumar Sampad
