A person has found and sent back your lost driving licence
Write a letter and thank him
Explain why it is important
How he/she found
And say how to thank him/her
Dear Sir,
I would like to offer my gratitude for sending my lost driving license. I had no hope of recovering it after i lost it carelessly a month back while I travelling from Delhi to Jaipur in a train. I had also reported this to a local police station but unfortunately, they were unable to recover it.
After much of an effort, I had lost all hopes of redeeming it but all thanks to you that i have found it. Let me explain, this driving license is very important as I had applied for my passport and given it as a proof of identification for police verification. In event of a loss of such critical document, my passport application process would have suffered.Out of curiosity, I would like to know where did you find it?
There are not many people now of days who really help each other, but certainly, I would say you are an exception. This act of yours lays an example for everyone including me.I would like to know how can I thank you for such great help.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
vinshu
